A word about Knight's Ferry and the weather.

Short version: The event is still on, but there's a chance it will get canceled.  Check your email and voicemail before you leave the house.  Please email me your cell phone number right now just in case I have to call at the last minute.  (If you don't have a cell phone, tell me it's your home line and let me know when you'll be leaving tomorrow.)

Long version:

We've had rain lots of times at Knight's Ferry, and usually we still have a great time and some fantastic battles.  We've got lots of amazing stuff planned for this weekend, so if it clears up at all we are going to have a blast (literally).

But there's also a chance that it could shape up like last year, when we got rained out.  Right now, I'm seeing a 60% - 80% chance of rain on Saturday, and a 40% - 70% chance of rain on Sunday.  Here are the sites:

I will be packing my own gear and loading the trailer tonight, and as it stands I will be going.  But that might change, and we're only 36 hours away, so I wanted to warn people now.  If the event gets canceled, I will let you know.
